Privacy policy

Colne Climate collects the minimum information needed to answer your enquiry and carry out work you ask for. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for marketing.

Who is responsible for your information

Colne Climate (James Keefe) is the data controller for information collected through this website. You can contact us at james@colneclimate.co.uk or 07840 999211.

What is collected

  • Enquiry details you submit: name, telephone number, email address, postcode, property or premises details, timeframe and any message you write.
  • Calculator figures, but only if you choose to attach them to an enquiry. Using the calculator on its own sends nothing to us.
  • Basic technical information needed to serve the website securely, such as the page an enquiry was sent from.

Why it is collected

To respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a survey, prepare a proposal, perform agreed work and provide aftercare. Where you tick the consent box, we rely on your consent to contact you about that enquiry; where you become a customer, we process information to perform our contract with you and to meet legal obligations such as record keeping.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful to answer follow-up questions, and are then deleted. Customer records are kept for as long as needed for aftercare, warranty and legal or accounting obligations.

Who it is shared with

Your information is not sold and is not shared for marketing. It is stored using reputable hosting and database providers acting on our instructions, and may be shared with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

Where it is stored

Enquiry information is stored in a secured database with access restricted to the business. Website submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it is used, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact james@colneclimate.co.uk and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the business develops. The current version always applies and is published on this page.
