About
Colne Climate is James Keefe
A small, local air-conditioning business named after the river that runs through Colchester, built to do a handful of jobs properly rather than a lot of jobs quickly.
The business
Why Colne Climate exists
Air conditioning has a reputation problem in the UK. Too many systems are sold on floor area alone, installed in the wrong place, and never looked at again until they fail in a heatwave. The result is a machine people resent rather than a system they rely on.
Colne Climate was set up to do the opposite: survey the room properly, explain what will and will not work, install it neatly, and be reachable afterwards. That is easier as a one-man business, where the same person carries the whole job from first call to aftercare.
The name comes from the River Colne, which runs through Colchester. It is a reminder that this is a local business serving local homes and businesses across North Essex and South Suffolk.
How James works
Four things you can rely on
You deal with one person
The person who surveys your property is the person who installs the system and the person who comes back to service it. Nothing gets lost between departments, because there are no departments.
Honest advice, even when it costs a sale
If a room does not need air conditioning, or a repair makes more sense than a replacement, James will say so. Long-term reputation in a small area beats a short-term invoice.
Properly sized, properly installed
Sizing is confirmed on site. Pipe routes are planned. Units are positioned for how the room is used, not for whichever wall is easiest to drill.
Left as it was found
Floors protected, dust controlled, packaging taken away. A tidy installation is part of the job, not a favour.

If there is a specific certification, insurance document or manufacturer approval you need to see before agreeing work, ask and James will provide what applies to your job.
